Residents are facing severe service cuts due to the loss of over £2 million pounds in Government grants.
Services to be cut are as follows :-
The Free Amenity Skip Service
Children's Summer Play Scheme.
Grants to Voluntary Organisations.
Roadside verge, tree, and shrub maintenance reduced.
On top of this the Borough Nursery where the Council has grown their own plants since 1924 is to be closed.
This is in addition to the previously announced cuts of free swimming and travel tokens.
All fees and charges including Car Parking fees have also been increased.
Council rents are all be increased by 7.1%
