Hello

Thanks to everybody in Stobhill who voted (whoever for) in May.  We managed one of the best turnouts in Northumberland so that is great (having said that 50% of those eligible - and personally asked by us! - to vote didn't. ) So although it's good as these things go - there is some way to go before people feel they can make a difference.  But we all can if we stick in.

Anyway, however you voted I am your councillor at all levels now (Town, Borough, County) and am working hard to help us get the 7 councils into one right (all our services depend on this) and also trying to develop things in Stobhill.

I am definitely going to be struggling to add stuff to the site in the next few months - so please if you have anything to say, however controversial - send it to me and I will put it on for you (as long as it is legal!!)

Support Stobhill Community Forum and respond to their invitations for ideas and go to the SCF event at Stobhillgate First School on 28 June 11.00 - 1.30.  They are working hard to improve our area

My reason for being a politician is to make the council work for the people, not the other way around!

I was elected in May 2007 after years of leading MAG to fight the council on destructive over-development in Morpeth. 

Party politics is seen by most people as childish point scoring.  I agree that this is a waste of time. 

I am interested in getting things done in a practical way.  I will work with anybody from any party or organisation to improve things for the people in our area and Northumberland.

I promise to do my best to give you as much information as I can.  But mostly it is to promote the area and the people.  If there is anything else you'd like included, please let me know.
