Welcome to my website

I am now Mayor of Castle Morpeth Borough Council

I was elected as Borough Council for the South Ward, Ponteland, to represent all residents regardless of their political persuasion. I am however a member of the Conservative Party and take an active interest in all local and national campaigns. Whilst I am interested in all issues throughout the Borough I am particularly keen to resolve any issues within Ponteland town.

I have been appointed to  the Licensing Committee which deals with licences for taxis, pubs and clubs, etc. I am also a member of the Ponteland Parish Council serving Ponteland South Ward. I also serve on the Environment Committee,  and the Northumbria in Bloom Committee.

The Council have Honoured me by appointing me as Mayor for this year.

I hold regular surgeries at Merton Hall, Ponteland on the first Saturday in every month. I can be contacted by email on irene.brumwell@castlemorpeth.gov.uk or by using the "Contact Me" link within the menu. Please ensure that you include your own contact details if you wish me to reply. I can also be contacted, at any reasonable hour, by telephone on (01661) 823304.
