 Welcome to my web site.

 

I was elected as a Borough Councillor for the Stamfordham Ward in 1979 and have served as a Councillor continously since then. I represent all residents regardless of their political persuasion. I am however a member of th Conservative Party and take an active interest in all local and national campaign

 

Whilst I am interested in all issues throughout the wide spreadout Borough I am particularly keen to resolve issues within the Stamfordham Ward which covers Ingoe, Ryal, Matfen, Dalton, Eachwick, Stamfordham, Kirkeaton and Capheaton and also the surounding farming areas

 

I am a member of the Development Services Committee which deals with all Planning applications, Also I am Chairman of  the Audit Committee and a member of the Licensing Commiittee

 

I have been appointed by Castle Morpeth Borough Council to the Board of Castle Morpeth Housing who took over the Council houses last year

 

Locally I am Chairman  of Stamfordham Parish Council

Council
At the Annual Meeting in May 2008 the members of the Corporate Board, the main decision making body in the Council apart from the full Council, were elected. The Board consists of 4 Conservative, 4 Liberals, 2 Labour, 1 Independant and 1 Green Councillors Also at the Annual Council meeting held in May 2008 Councillor Irene Brumwell was elected Mayor of the Borough for the last year of its existence and I was elected Deputy Mayor
