Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to my website pages.

I am one of two Councillors representing the Stannington & Mitford ward. The ward includes the villages of Stannington, Mitford, Hepscott, Whalton, Ogle and Tranwell, as well as smaller hamlets such as Clifton, Shadfen and St Mary's Hospital.

I am a member of the Executive Board on the Council and my priorities for my term of office relate to the environment in which we live. This does not just mean the effects of global warming (be they natural or man-made), but also more basic matters, such as litter and fly-tipping problems, grass cutting, public transport and other areas of concern to rural communities such as ours.

As the youngest Member of the Council, I hope to bring fresh ideas forward. My position on the Executive Board allows me to do this. I also promise to do my very best to be an effective and helpful ward Councillor, and I invite all residents of the Stannington & Mitford ward (and non-residents too) to contact me with any concerns or comments - positive or negative - at any time and I will strive to do my best to deal with the points raised. I also promise to represent all of the residents of the ward, regardless of political pursuation.

My fellow Councillor is Michael Jeans, and he will be happy to assist you should I ever be unavailable. Michael's contact details can be found on his own website, accessible from the main Council site.

I look forward to being able to help improve my community, with your help.

Please note that I maintain a personal website about my activites as a local Councillor, which I am able to update on a more regular basis than this site. My website can be found at:
