Welcome to my website

MONDAY 26th MAY 2008

It continues to be extremely hectic so I am only just bringing the website up-to-date as I planned. In Morpeth Town Council I have posted two articles - one about the Town Council AGM on 21 May, the other is an update on the Emily Wilding Davison grave restoration.

On 20th May in Council Activities I posted brief details of the Castle Morpeth Borough Council AGM just held, together with a brief report on the Executive Committee held on 8th May.

One particular item of interest from that meeting is a report on the very effective Schools Scrutiny event, which I attended, held at King Edward VI School in March. I would urge website viewers to look at the report in full on the Council’s Minutes & Agendas website link – item 5.2 of the Executive on 8th May 2008.

Northumberland County Council: The AGM was on May 21st and as expected a minority Liberal Democrat Administration was elected. I have been elected as the Portfolio Holder for Corporate Services, which deals with Finance, Human Resources, Legal, IT, Assets & Communications.

I will update with further information as soon as possible

---------------------------------------------------

To date I have littele feedback on about pedestrian crossings in Abbey Meadows in Kirkhill News. This was an article posted on the website 3 weeks ago. I really would like to hear from residents on this important issue.

How To Use my Website:

I have a variety of pages, which relate to different aspects of the work I undertake as a councillor.  Each page heading has the number of Items and a "latest date update". Just read through this page & you should know exactly where to go to.

MY NEWS (10 Items) (13/1/08) carries the issues originally posted on my website before restructuring + brief update detail of issues covered in more depth elsewhere.

COUNCIL ACTIVITIES has a main section (5 items) (28/02/08) & 3 sub pages

  • CURRENT COUNCIL ISSUES (2 items) (20/05/08)
  • KIRKHILL WARD INFORMATION (6 items) (2/03/08)
  • FORTHCOMING ACTIVITIES/EVENTS. (0 items)

In ANDREW’S PROFILE (November 2007 - updated Dec 07) you will find detail of all the things I am involved in whilst the sub pages refer to

  • GROUNDWORK NORTHUMBERLAND (3 items) (12/2/08)(where I am a Trustee) &
  • ABBEYFIELDS 1st SCHOOL GOVERNING BODY (2 Items 12/2/08) (where I am a Governor).
  • MORPETH TOWN COUNCIL (3 items) (26/05/08) (I represent Kirkhill Ward on Morpeth Town Council as well)

MY POLITICS: You can now see the main website linksthat give you more political information.

The CONSULTATION DOCUMENTS/QUESTIONNAIRES is currently empty.

I will use this section as and when the Council issues Consultation Documents which require a response from the public. Each page or sub page has a “latest date” update so you can see immediately when the latest article has been posted.

I hope you find the information useful & interesting. Let me know if you would like to see specific things posted.  My Kirkhill Councillor colleague David Moore has also launched his website - he will carry different nformation to me so I urge you to visit his site as well - www.councillor.info/castlemorpeth/dmoore

I freely admit that my first duty as a councillor is to attend to the many issues residents raise with me, so forgive me if this website isn't always as up to date as I would wish. Secondly as you will see from Andrew's Profile I have a very busy schedule of committees and working groups.

Most importantly if you want to contact me I can always be contacted by phone or by email on andrew.tebbutt@castlemorpeth.gov.uk. In addition the councillors representing Kirkhill & South Wards hold monthly surgeries at Storey Park on the last Saturday of each month (except December) from 11.00am to 12.00 noon.

I want to hear your views, so please use any of the contact facilities.
