I was first elected to Antrim Borough Council in 1997 and have served there for over 11 years continuously.
In 2003, and again in 2007, I was also elected to the Northern Ireland Assembly as member for the South Antrim constituency.
If you are a resident of Crumlin, Glenavy, Antrim Town, Randalstown, Toome, Templepatrick, Ballyclare, Glengormley, Mallusk or any of the surrounding areas I would be delighted to help you in any way I can.
Some of the most common things local people require help with include witnessing of passports and driving licences, council services such as bin collections, housing, roads, planning issues, water, sewage, education, public transport and rates.
Furthermore, if there are any areas of major concern you would like to see raised on the floor of the Assembly please do not hesitate to contact me. In the past year I have debated and questioned Ministers on topics as varied as the railway network, the proposals to build an incinerator in Glenavy, water charges and the 11+ transfer test.
The quickest way to contact me is to telephone my office: 028 9445 3807 or email t.burns@sdlp.ie.
