Oh what a busy last few weeks it's been!!
Alnwick in Bloom 2008
Plans are underway for the 2008 Spring Alnwick show which is on Saturday 12th April between 10 and 5 in the Pavilion within Alnwick Garden.
If you are interested in entering any of the classes this year's classes are free to enter and they are:
- Floral Arts
- Schools
- Open
- Children's
- Alpine
- Cookery
Schedules are available from the Tourist Information Centre, in Alnwick or by emailing geoff.watson@acdt.org.uk or see www.alnwickinbloom.co.uk for more details.
Cultural Exchange
I've also been involved with the Cultural Exchange Plans with our twin town in Lagny, France and we are looking forward to visiting them later in the year.
There will also be visitors coming from our Twin Towns in Norway, Germany and Slovakia this year.
Alnwick International Music Festival 2008
This year's event will be held from Saturday 2nd August until Saturday 9th August.
If you attended last year's event I'm sure you will be excited and looking forward to this year too. Already expected to perform are groups from Columbia, Belarus, Kyrgistan, Poland, Italy, Switzerland, Isle of Man, Russia and Sardinia.

Local cubs and scouts did their bit for the community last Wednesday by helping Alnwick District Council in a clean up of the Greenwell Lane area of Alnwick.
