I have now been a Alnwick District Councillor for some eight months and feel I am getting to grips with the complexities of what is involved in this very challenging and time consuming job I have undertaken .
I am also now a member of Amble Town Council, representing Amble West which I hope will allow me to play a greater part in the more local issues which concern us all.
I serve on the Development control committee ,Operation Scrutiny and Overview. Committee. As well as Licensing Appeals and Standards committees.
My wife and I moved here in 1998 after retiring at 60 years of age.
My interests are Alnwick Rotary, playing golf at Foxton, bowls at Alnwick and Ashington. I am also a keen gardener and love the countryside, walking and bird watching.
I look forward to serving the people of Amble to the best of my ability.

Scouting around for litter
Local cubs and scouts did their bit for the community last Wednesday by helping Alnwick District Council in a clean up of the Greenwell Lane area of Alnwick.
